Her mom is not Mexican-American just Mexican you know born and raised in Mexico. Her mom Nanette is one of those White-Mexicans (of French lineage to be exact) Whites make up 15% of Mexican population. Her dad Martin Bledel is Argentine (of Danish lineage to be exact) Most of Argentina is constructed of Euro Immigrants therefore she looks White.
Alexis Bledel is a White Hispanic =P there are many Whites in Latin-America but they are not poor so they don't need to immigrate that's why Americans don't see one they just see the descendants of the Apocalyptico people (Mel Gibson movie)
