Hi! We had a bordercollie/golden and she was black and looked like a cross of the two rases. Like a light golden but with black fur. She was perfect! Kind, happy, intellegent and energic.

i have a border collie mixed with a white lab....we named her simba because she looks like a lion. she was all white when she was little, but as she got older she became a more off-white with a golden mane around her neck with golden eyes! she really looks like a lion, with imagination due to her name, or actully a white wolf. with her yellow eyes! unfortunately she is 13 years old and has developed a lipoma that is about 30% of her body weight and is starting to have trouble walking. i want to help her so bad.

Hi- We have a golden/collie cross. She has the build of a collie with a golden coat on !! Shes fantastic. Got oodles of energy and so easy to train. Brill with our two young sons too. When shes 'hunting' for treats or her ball in the undergrowth, her tail swishes and she looks like a retriever. When shes jogging alongside my hubby on his bike, she looks like a collie..!! Wouldn't swap her for the world. Shes our bestest friend, ever !!

hi, i have a golden Lab/Black border collie cross, she is soooo cute, she looks like a labrador and in some poses she has a collie face, her mother was a golden labrador and her father was a black & white collie hence she turned out Chocolate brown with white sox on her paws, she learns thing so easy, has tonnes of energy and is very intelligent, i'm not sure how big she will grow though because shwe is six months now and is the size of her mother!!

Generally, Border Collie/Golden Retriever mixes end up all black and long-coated.

Check this post out, which explains a lot of the genetic issues around it: http://retrieverman.net/2011/01/06/the-mystery-mix/
